Elizabeth86
I cant come up with a costume idea for dd age 2. It seems most girl costumes are tutu or princess dress style and that is not my style. She doesnt like any charcters yet or have a favorite anything really. Any suggestions. Arctic Bunny
Cute animal costume: skunk, puppy, kitten, raccoon, lion, etc. The old lady with a walker costume is sweet! Pumpkin, clown...

Bluegoat
I did an awesome chicken costume for my dd one year, mostly from the dollar store. My ds was a pink rabbit when he was little, I bought the costume used for $2. I also like hobo clown costumes for little kids. Jeans or cords, a plaid shirt, an old man's vest, jacket, or necktie. Frumpy hat. You just need a little make-up for a white smile and red nose. If you can pin a name tag on the hat it's a nice touch. You can put the bag on the end of a stick if it won't poke someone in the eye.

wendyroo
For two year olds, my costume criteria are always: 1) something they can easily walk/see/maneuver in, 2) something that will keep them warm enough outside, 3) something they can recognize and name, and 4) something I can pull together easily without spending much time or money. When my oldest was 2, he went as "blue". It was one of the only words he could say. He helped choose warm, blue clothes; he wore a blue hat, I put some blue polka dots on his face. He thought he looked fabulous. Wendy
KarenNC
We had a pair of black sweatpants and a black cat hooded sweatshirt when my daughter was little. We drew whiskers on her face and put black on her nose. Very cute.
Peaceseeker
We did a cowgirl for 2. The clothes were mostly regular clothes she could wear all fall but put together in a cute way with a hat. She wore those cowgirl boots for months!
nixpix5
I always picked those cosplay style costumes that are really just glorified pjs. They come in many different animals, are easy to walk in, clothes fit under them well and they are nice and warm for trick or treating. At that age my daughter had the one with the button flap on her bottom (she was a unicorn) so if she had to go potty it wasn't too challenging.
Daria
I liked the costumes that were also pajamas. DS was a duck, then a giraffe, then a zebra. Then he developed his own opinions, which was bittersweet.
KungFuPanda
Check the boy clothes. When my son was little there were lots of hooded sweatsuits that were costumes, but real clothes. Stuff like Frankenstein and skeletons.
kroe1
Chasing Fireflies. Look at your own risk. Out of this world adorable costumes.
Joules
One year my DD was monkey then a bee. My ds was a bee when he was little. Dh dressed up as a bee-keeper. They were adorable! Edited September 8, 2017 by Joules
J-rap
I think most of our kids were clowns at that age! One wanted to be a cowboy. (Not a cowgirl, a cowboy, so we painted a little mustache on her. :))
