Elizabeth86
My boys eat plain uncooked pasta for a snack. I find that odd, just wondering if they were the only ones. For the record, my oldest will not eat cooked pasta, when we have pasta he asks me to save him some crunchy noodles.

HomeAgain
No, but if I am in the middle of making noodles he will try to snag some. I liked eating dry ramen noodles as a kid. Never pasta though.
BarbecueMom
My kids don't, and I dont, but I used to when I was a kid.Same. My friends as a kid did it too. Not sure it ever occurred to my kids to do it. One of my kids loves the noodles that get stuck together in a bundle. He calls them "broccoli". He was not happy when I told him that wouldn't count as a vegetable serving. Edited July 29, 2017 by BarbecueMom

ealp2009
My kids eat dry oatmeal. And will eat dry pasta when it is available. The oatmeal is on a lower shelf and more easily accessible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ausmumof3
Mine do. I don't encourage it because I'm scared about tooth damage but they sneak it...
AnnE-girl
Not as an actual snack, but they will grab a noodle before I put the spaghetti in the pot once in a while.

EmseB
My kids ALWAYS get offended if I dump the pasta into the water without giving them a dry noodle first. It's weird.
displace
My kids don't but I did as a child. Many people eat dry ramen. I think it's easier to chew than pasta, though.

abba12
Ramen absolutely, kids used to take it to school, sprinkle the flavouring powder on and eat it as a snack. But not pasta

Arcadia
My students in So. Cal. used to eat uncooked ramen sprinkled with the seasoning packet. That's what my engineering school classmates did. A packet of instant noodles was 10 cents then in the early 90s. They like it because it is crispy and the seasoning packet has MSG.

dlcricket
Just a heads up- craving hard, crunchy food like uncooked pasta or ice is a sign of iron deficiency. If your child seems to really want it a lot, it may be a good idea to have his iron levels checked. I went through a time when I loved to munch on raw spaghetti and even bought it just to eat raw. Then, I learned that my iron levels were dangerously low. When that corrected, I stopped eating raw spaghetti.
