I would have picked him up no hesitation, my mother (who really does love me) would have made me "tough it out", lol (she thinks I'm a "wuss" because I buy the antibiotic ointment with painkiller instead of the plain stuff.... Re: toughing it out. The nurse was out of line. How the heck could she know how sick your kid felt? Reminds me of a female doctor my sister had who dissed her complaints about menstrual cramps because the doc didn't suffer from cramps herself. "Oh, they can't be that bad." How could she know??
