dismalisland
hello! this has been happening for as long as i can remember but whenever i get scared/worried i feel my muscles tense up but ESPECIALLY my ears/near my ears? and my stomach tumbles of course but i think that's normal. anyway, after all my muscles have relaxed and sometimes while my muscles are tensed my ears start to ring? i have no clue why. like i said, it's been happening forever but i always thought it was normal until a couple of my friends told me that never happened to them. anyone know what it could be? some say it's anxiety but i'd like some more opinions, please. foxbridgeacademy
Anxiety causes a rise in blood pressure which for some people cause a ringing in the ears. Probably normal but mention it to your doctor at your next visit.
Katy
Yes, sounds like anxiety is pushing your blood pressure up.
SamanthaCarter
Happens to me, but not every time, usually adrenaline rush type anxiety or social anxiety. Crimson Wife
My intro to audiology class covered tinnitus and said that anxiety can be a trigger. If it gets to the point where the anxiety-related tinnitus is interfering with your life, neurofeedback can help.
