SAT Subject Test Score/Percentile

Recommended Posts

My daughter took her first SAT Subject Test (Spanish) and her score was 800 and the percentile was 92%.  What does the percentile mean?  Are there different percentiles for the same score or does everyone who scores an 800 have the same percentile?

Everyone who scored 800 has the same percentile. In this case I think it means that 8 percent of those who took the test got a perfect score. That happens with language tests partly because some who take the test are native/heritage speakers.

92 percent of test takers scored below her. Congratulations to your dd!

It means that 92% of all students who took the test scored below 800.  8% of test takes received a score of 800.

Everybody who receives the same score is in the same percentile.
