mellifera33
Does anyone use this Cuisinart blender? It seems like what I'm looking for--something with a small footprint that can make smoothies, plus it comes with four travel cups. And it's cheap. Are there any other similar products I should know about? I'm tired of being blender-less.

Tap
Personally, I wouldn't buy a blender with less that 500watts of power. We use our blenders to make smoothies from frozen fruit. 350 watts is not going to be enough to make it really smooth, and will wear our too fast if I ran it long enough to make that happen anyways.
Hilltopmom
We use a Vitamix. It's awesome. But it's huge. I'm too cheap to pay $130 for a smaller Vitamix jug & it's so loud. My teen wants to have a smoothie before school next fall & it's too early to wake up the whole house with the Vitamix. I'm actually shopping for a mini one serving one currently just for quick breakfast protein shakes, the kind with multiple travel mugs.
