ILiveInFlipFlops
We have an 11-hour road trip coming up soon, and I'd love some suggestions on an audiobook because I'm just coming up empty. I'm hoping to find something with a little magic or wonder to it. I'm thinking along the lines of The Tale of Desperaux or Anne of Green Gables--something that delights even the most cynical of souls (i.e., my teenager ). We're OK with some intensity, but nothing too scary (youngest DD is a bit sensitive to scary stuff). Ideas? Thanks!
Rachel
The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry was a recent listen by our family, I chuckled quite a bit. It's sort of a parody of "old fashioned" stories.
Mothersweets
The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom https://www.audible.com/pd/Kids/The-Heros-Guide-to-Saving-Your-Kingdom-Audiobook/B007W4FB5Q We listened on a road trip a few years ago and EVERYONE loved it - the 7yo up to the 16yo. Bronson Pinchot does a wonderful job with all the voices and the story is a lot of fun!
