Thank God that I don't have to go to the college super early. Ds took his Friday test on Thursday instead, which was a bit of a surprise but he seemed to take it in stride.

school

grading

ds to college and work

call that doctor that has been on my tackle list for a week now.

Barnes and Noble?  Dd has won her first paperback in our classics reading challenge

We got home last night at 11:30 and discovered a significant leak in our basement.  Need a plumber badly.

Also, I look like a battered wife due to the effects of my broken nose.  :P  Wish I didn't have a cold / runny nose so I could stop touching it.

  • Worked in the wee hours.
  • Got up early to send out some work.
  • House guests left this morning.  Helped them pack the van.
  • Arranged for plumber to come.
  • More work.
  • Might sneak a nap.
  • Kids are pretending to sleep (actually playing on their electronics), but I'm going to give them some book work to do later.
  • More work.
  • Not sure what I'll do in the evening.  Been out to dinner 3x this week so I don't want to do that again.
  • Kids need to go to bed early so they can leave for a field trip early tomorrow morning.

Freak accident.  I was in a big hurry to get to the post office on the 18th before they closed (tax deadline).  Got in an even bigger hurry since I had to come back home for a paper I forgot.  Yanked my car door open, somehow my nose was in the way - maybe I was bending trying to stop from dropping some papers - I really don't remember.  But boy did I whack my nose hard.  :P  Crunch!

So basically it was the IRS who broke my nose.  :P

Dang IRS, making tax day even more unpleasant than it already was!

Hope it heals up soon!

God is good.  I didn't know when ds' test got moved that every single route to ds' school was going to involve construction.  One line was backed up so far that we joined a whole bunch of cars in turning around and trying a different way.  We ran into more construction on the alternate route but it didn't have a back up so all was good.  But the especially good part was that if ds' test had been today, we would have been late.  But because he had to take it yesterday, he could arrive to class later because the rest of the class was taking the test for the first part of the class.  (Ds has some test accommodations.)
