heinzehomeschool
I am trying to decide which handwriting curriculum to use for my DS (6) for first grade next year. I have not been impressed with A reason for Handwriting this year and can't decide between Zaner-Bloser or HWOT. Any preferences or suggestions? I am a first time homeschooler living overseas so buying multiple things is not an option if something doesn't work out. Please help... Kiara.I
Do you need a curriculum? You could teach it yourself. Perhaps print out sheets of copywork if you need it. Curricula can be convenient, but handwriting might be one of the easiest things to do without a curriculum since ordering and shipping will be a pain.
MyLife
Copywork is a good way to practice writing AND penmanship. Instead of buying a handwriting curriculum you can buy the tablets of dotted line paper.
ReadingMama1214
I would do it through copywork as well. You can find the Spalding handwriting information online and use that as a guide. Progressivephonics.com also has some handwriting worksheets as well. It's free and you can download and print the PDF
HomeAgain
We did copywork until he asked for a handwriting book and then we found one we both liked.

Guest
Both ZB and HWT have worksheet generators. I don't if they are free. It has been a while since I needed them. I used the tracing pages from the Dancing Bears people for my younger ines Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
