Tanaqui
What do you like to read? Don't want to suggest a thriller when you're all about romance, do we?

Lizzie in Ma
One of my favorite beach reads is MEG by Steven Alten, also The Wave by Susan Casey, and I always re-read The Dresden Files in the summer, don't know why. ;)
marbel
When I hear "fun, easy read" I think of P G Wodehouse. The Mary Russell novels by Laurie R King can be fun (though not actually funny) if you enjoy light mysteries and aren't a Sherlock Holmes purist (because he is a main character in the novels, but with a young wife). But yeah, tell us what you like. Another way to find book recommendations is to join Goodreads.com, and look up titles you like. It will show you similar books. There is also the Book a Week thread here. The Beekeeper's Apprentice is the first Mary Russell novel; link to Goodreads. Guest
I like everything but I'm looking fir light and fun. Romance is fine but nothing trashy or with a cover that would scandalize the children.
Upward Journey
Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. It was my favourite book this year.
LuvToRead
Do you like mysteries? The Aunt Dimity books by Nancy Atherton are light, fun and cozy. They are not murder mysteries, but usually involve missing art or a family secret.
Misha
When I want light and fun I gravitate toward cozy mysteries, as well as titles by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Jennifer Weiner.
