No I havn't seen it and I am usually willing to buy something  just to look it over, if nothing else.

HOW are you going to take something that's free, free, super free to the max and make it 65$ PER YEAR.

And it's a box of paper:

Both books are loose-leaf and three-hole-punched; parents may wish to place into a three-ring-binder (not included).

Do I want people compensated for their work? Yes. Is that price comparable to other math programs? Obviously. Don't I understand how expensive it is to print things? Yes.

Did they nonetheless have the entire series at their disposal...as series that people still use quite well as-is (IOW it's not unusable without these updates)? Yes. Do they not know about PDF copies and how a place like Amazon or currclick can turn those into printed books and they end out half that price? ...guess not.

I'll tell you what I do like about it from the sample, is how it tells the teacher why each step is important, and where it goes from that point. That's VERY handy, especially for newbs or anyone that's just plain busy.

I also like the game pages.

Once it's been out in the stew for a while, and people are accustomed to it as an option, I bet it will find a strong following.

I maintain it should be a PDF, though...and maybe they shouldn't have referenced Rays in the main title. Something like "Shoehorn Name, based on Rays Arithmetic" would provide a bridge in people's minds between the freeness of Rays and the 65$ness of Shoehorn Name. Alas! Their marketing team failed to contact me and ask for my venerated opinion
