mamaofgirls
I can not seem to find this... maybe it does not exist for 1st grade (or around that age) but would LOVE if anyone had any textbook/reader ideas for history. I am looking for just one book (not a bunch) that we can enjoy on the couch once and a while next year... with lots of pictures and places for discussions. Though I like Abeka's Science Readers their History kills me though... I like the idea of Christian Liberty Press but can not get over the cartoon drawings. Even if you know of a good history book, not text book, that would give us a general idea of pilgrims and the gospel that would be great! MDL
Have you tried Usborne history encyclopedias? They are vast and very engaging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Junie
The only Abeka history book that I can stomach is the 3rd grade book. Each chapter is a biography. The book works chronologically through time. Some of my kids have read this book over and over -- for fun!
