IATeachingMom
Our family will be doing some extensive traveling next year. I am looking for a math option that is online/web based/app based for a 2nd and 8th grader. Some weeks we will have more time than other weeks so a live online class wouldn't likely fit as our accessibility will vary. Thoughts? rebcoola
Khan Academy, Dreambox, or Prodigy come to mind.
Kiara.I
Prodigy isn't a curriculum though, just a video game where in order to get ahead you have to answer math questions. I wouldn't want to use it as a year's worth of study.
OneStepAtATime
CTC or Math Cloud maybe. Can be purchased through homeschool buyer's co-op for much cheaper. CTC is a single price to set up all interested members of the family as a student and all students have access to kinder through calculus for the year so they can move through whatever material fits where they actually are and can repeat lessons as often as needed since new problems are generated each time. OneStepAtATime
Or do Derek Owens with the 8th grader and CTC or Khan academy with the 2nd grader.
