umsami
My house is 16 years old and it seems like all of the builder installed stuff is finally dying. Tonight, it was one of the faucets in the kids' bathroom. Wouldn't turn off at all...so I just turned the water off under the sink. So now, that I'm likely to replace both faucets (so they match), any advice? Any things you wish you'd done? It's a really basic/boring two sink thing....with a white countertop and wooden cabinets beneath. I will likely have a plumber or handyman do the install. I can't afford something super fancy, but also don't want to buy the cheapest thing that needs to be replaced in a few years.
maize
What kind of faucet is it? It may just need the cartridge replaced https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00002N97S/ref=asc_df_B00002N97S4788347/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B00002N97S&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167153963256&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9405642478148583851&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9029703&hvtargid=pla-273596836222
maize
(if it's a moen there is a lifetime warranty and you can get the replacement cartridge free)
itsheresomewhere
You can do this yourself. It is really easy. Youtube has some excellent videos on replacing them. I don't remember the ages of your oldest children but this could be a really neat project to do together.
