My grandmother's recipe...  :drool5:

2 lbs hamburger

2 c Coca-cola

2 c ketchup

2 pkg brown gravy mix

2 c water

Roll hamburger into small balls and brown in skillet. Drain. In a bowl, mix together brown gravy mix and water. Add Coke and ketchup. Pour mixture over meatballs and simmer on low for 30 minutes or up to 6-8 hours in a slow cooker.

OK, do you use prepackaged meatballs or do you make your own?  I have plenty of hamburger...but trying to keep it simple due to time constraints.  I haven't used prepackaged before...are they good?

I use the frozen Costco Italian meatballs.  About 2 lbs and a 12 oz jar of Chili sauce and ~16 oz of grape jelly (give or take depending on how sweet you like it).

Meatballs (frozen)

1 jar grape jelly

1 jar Chili Sauce (sold neat the cocktail sauce in a bottle just like the cocktail sauce bottle)

That's it

I'm the weirdo that doesn't like the chili sauce very much, so if I do it I use much less than a full bottle.

Better (to me) is to use 1 can cranberry sauce, and some teriaki ginger marinade in a bottle. Yum.

I saw a recipe using cranberry sauce...hmmm...this sounds a little more holiday-ish.
