ereks mom
EK & I were going to bake cookies several days ago, so I took a stick of margarine (not real butter) out of the refrigerator to soften. But we didn't get to bake the cookies that day, nor the next, nor the next... and the margarine is still out on the counter? Is it safe to use in the cookies now, or should I toss it out and start over?
swellmomma
We always left stick margarine on the counter growing up. There is nothing in it to cause it to go rancid etc ont eh counter, it's basically a stick of oil. It is safe to use for your cookies, and your toast and anything else you want to use margarine on. Crissy
My parents only use margarine, and they always have a stick in the dish on the counter. No worries. What kind of cookies?
Lizzie in Ma
Always have. No worries, go ahead and use it.

Linda...inOwasso
Wow... you learn something new every day. I wouldn't have dreamed it would be safe to eat. Thanks for the knowledge!
