Creation Museum or Ark Encounter?

We will be traveling at Thanksgiving and even though they are less than an hour apart, we will only have time to visit one. It will be my father (80's), DH, 2 18 year olds, and a 12 year old.  We are undecided which one might interest our wide span of ages.  Can anyone offer any advice?

Thank you!

I'd do the ark for the 12 yo and the "wow" factor.  I haven't been there yet but have heard that it's amazing.  The Creation Museum is nice and all but none of my kids really get excited about it but they are really looking forward to a trip to see the ark.

Okay, I'll say up front that I am an Old Earth Creationist and probably would have some issues with the museum.

However, in the interest of helping you, I will say that a senior citizen from my church took a bus trip to the Ark and really, really enjoyed it. Said it was amazing. She is nearing the age of your dad, I would say.

Hope you have a great trip and an enjoyable time!

If you are worried about crowds I would suggest the creation museum since it has been around awhile, it is also possible to find discount tickets on occasion. If you are not a believer of young earth creation it is interesting but you have to go in very open minded. I didn't know about young earth beliefs when I went there so it was a little shocking.

The ark encounter has only been open a few months so I would expect it to be pretty crowded (although I haven't talked to anyone who has been yet). Tickets are pricy too. I don't live too far away so I'm waiting until they offer a deal before I go.

I have not been to the Ark Encounter yet, but we did enjoy the Creation Museum a lot. Make sure to see Created Cosmos if you go to the Creation Museum, as well as The Last Adam. Both are included in the price of admission, I believe.
