Slache
I think it's time to discontinue nap time and incorporate quiet time, along with an earlier bedtime. Any tips or advice?
SunshineMom
Quiet time was the best thing we ever did when my kids were young. What made it manageable for everyone was that we had a fixed time, for us it was from 1:00-2:30 everyday. My kids could read, play quietly,and/or listen to story tapes. Kids were in their rooms alone and I got the break I needed. Wishing you well incorporating your family's quiet time.

I'm going to make quiet time our current nap time, so I think it will go well. I'm just going to make them stay in their cages, er um beds and play. It will be like a treat. three4me
When my kids transitioned from napping to quiet time they had to be in separate rooms. Now that the oldest are 6and 8 they can share the living room without being disruptive. The two year old naps still. Our problem was that the three kids share a room. So I had to spread them all throughout the house for a while. Not sure how old your kids are, but sharing a space and staying quiet might be a challenge initially.
