need a locking box for my DD

I'm looking for some sort of box that locks for my 10 yo to keep her special things in, away from her brothers. The box she's currently using is about 14"x8"x9". Trying to find something reasonably inexpensive that size or a little bigger. A combination lock instead of a key lock would be a bonus as my boys are very good at finding the keys to things they aren't supposed to get into. I've looked at medicine chests (too small) and footlockers (too big). What other categories of boxes could I look at?

Tool box or cash box, you might find one you can add a lock to.

I was going to say luggage with a lock. Many are getting rid of the heavier  suitcases in favor of the lighter ones, so someone you know may have one to give away. Bonus, she could decorate it with cool bumper stickers or something and keep it under her bed.

Like others have said, toolboxes, filing cabinets. Get a combination padlock.

We have a black tote from Wal-Mart that has openings for padlocks. We use it for storage of Christmas and birthday presents.

I would look for something that can both be locked and attached to a fixed object in her room.  That way the locked box cannot be carried away by curious siblings.

You could give her a larger box but put it on a high shelf in her closet.

Anyone in the family do any woodworking? My DS's inherited a very simple, handmade wooden box with a tiny paddle lock and key. They LOVE it and are in/out of it daily locking up their treasures. :)
