Tiramisu Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 This week DD has been asking to write stories in cursive, rather than using Just Write 3 and Modern Speller (which I typed into cursive so I could hit that along with spelling in one shot). She has been a super reluctant writer with rather bad handwriting, but she is writing willingly now and doing so in legible cursive. So I'm letting her do it. I cannot micromanage this kid without frustrating her to death and ruining everything, so I think the best route is to be hands off and let her write if she wants to write. Quote
MerryAtHope Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Awesome! I always let kids write when they want to write, when they want to come up with their own assignment etc... 1 Quote
Ellie Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Of course you always let children write when they want to write. :-) 1 Quote
Slache Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Another poster did this for a year and said that it was one of the best things she's done for her student. She was passionate about it and it stuck with me. 1 Quote
