Looks like injuries at the school are not life-threatening so far.

This isn't far from us at all. It's devastating and sad. It always is when there is a school shooting, but when it hits so close to home...

 

They are saying a dead body found near the school is a direct connection. One child was air lifted to GHS (our local larger hospital) and is/was in surgery; the other two are in good condition and, last I read, there was no update on the condition of the child in surgery.

Somebody local posted on our local homeschool page that the teen was only homeschooled because he was expelled last year - for bringing a weapon to school.

Yes, homeschooled because he was expelled. Hadn't read about the reason for the expulsion.

I wish the news articles would say that. It would make it easier for those of us who run into people who disapprove of or don't understand homeschooling, to see the rest of those details.

Sadly, since it just says he was homeschooled... Ugh!
