ReadingMama1214
Dd was asking me for some science iPad apps. We have Leo's Pad which is a stem app in some ways. Any other suggestions? She is turning 5 soon, has some basic reading skills, and is in love with science. She especially loves volcanoes and the human body. Thanks! ReadingMama1214
Any suggestions? Someone suggested Brainpop Jr. on another thread, but honestly I don't think DH would agree to spending that much on it. Hoping to find 2-3 science type apps to satisfy a preschooler who keeps asking to do science and learn science. We do experiments, but with other kids and grad school myself, I can't be doing science with her 24/7 haha
Jackie
The Happy Scientist is cheaper than BrainPop and includes lots of stuff a kid can try out for themselves. IIRC, there are quite a lot of free videos on his site as well.
zarabellesmom
We have The Human Body by Tinybop that my daughter enjoyed that age. I know we've had others, but I can't think of them now. I'll continue to think.

Jackie
No app, unfortunately. I have a link to the page on my daughter's iPad.
Jackie
Monster Physics is also fun. Not really explicitly sciencey, but fun.

I would check your local library and also, scour the websites of schools to see if anyone posted the link on their website. Or ask friends or family who have their children in public school. I remember not really caring for Brain Pop so I removed it.

Dd is very excited now! She goes there for 3hr preschool and now I am glad she does!
fralala
I haven't used any, but your question inspired me to wonder whether there are any field-guide type apps for our nature walks, and I found this list...some of them look promising! http://www.brightpips.com/natures-child-apps-sites-help-kids-explore-natural-world/
