Saw a preview for this today, and can't wait!

 

Sadly, once again, part of the hidden history that most never learn about.  So glad their story is being told.

Shetterly started poking around and linked up with Gainer, whose intern was compiling oral histories from former employees and their families. Shetterly’s book about those math whizzes, “Hidden Figures,†came out last week. In January, a movie version will hit multiplexes with a cast that includes Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe."

I finished Rocket Girls this summer, which I loved. I'm really looking forward to this book now.

I love that NPR introduced me to both books. They aren't the type my friends generally read, so I'm not sure I would have come across them otherwise.

We missed this in the theater and just watched it at home last night.

Excellent movie!!! I will be buying this one.

We have already had so much rich discussion about it.

They also have a jr. Edition of the book, which we listened to on audio. It is a great story.

 

I still need to finish the book, then I can't wait to watch the movie.
