1GirlTwinBoys
My brother got one a few months ago and he's so cute! Was curious if anyone here has one, and any training advice you can give. These dogs LOVE to jump and it's supposed to be really hard to break them of that.
Liz CA
I may way off here but I thought Rough Collie has one. You could try PMing her.
Mrs_JWM
I'm sure Rough Collie has one. Isn't it funny that we know that about virtual strangers? 😂 Sent from my XT1049 using Tapatalk
jrn
No advice, but I LOVE Wheaton terriers.
magnificent_baby
My nephew has one and he has nipped and/or bitten children several times (nothing serious). He also growls and acts defensive towards my mom when she was dogsitting. Have no idea if this is an issue with the breed or just this particular dog. ktgrok
Nice dogs but yes, playful and hyper! As for jumping you teach them to sit instead. with lots of treats. When they start to jump or before, if possible, you tell them to sit. they are smart dogs, so they figure it out. And they can't jump AND sit at the same time :) Positive Perspectives 2, Know Your Dog, Train Your Dog has great training tips with lots of pictures. Otherwise anything by Patricia McConnell. I'd clicker train or use other positive methods. Like i said, smart, HAPPY dog with lots of energy = lots of training needed. Training that is fun and will channel that energy rather than try to stifle it. (because stifling it won't work anyway, lol)
