BlsdMama Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 My fervent prayer: Dear God, please let today go remotely like yesterday when the children (or just one particular child) just simply cooperated, the mommy was both happy & functional, the house looked like dirt because we actually got school done, and it felt sane pretty much all day. Amen. Yesterday I was the Michael Phelps of homeschooling. I have zero idea why it went so smooth, but I went to bed very, very grateful. 6 Quote

BlsdMama Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Sidetracked by the most vile of things. Poop hunt. Ugh. This child. I love this child. However, I suspect he is faster than me, sneakier than me, and smarter than me. And he adores his penis, hence the diaper coming off at every possible moment. Heaven help me. I am telling you.... I am considering duck tape. We have found a suspicious baby, a suspicious diaper, and yet, despite our best cleaning efforts, no poop. This is going to be an unpleasant surprise today. JustEm Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 The clothes are on the line, everyone is fed lunch, dinner is in Crock-Pot, and I'm really tired! I think I'll take a nap while the youngest naps and continue with the day after that 3 Quote
SKL Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Ooh. Blessed, I hope you find that poop before it finds you. :P 3 Quote
SKL Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Have a headache today. Probably from detoxing after all the ibuprofen I took the last 3 days to keep from bleeding to death. I would really like to go to TKD today, but I think it would only cause trouble. Maybe we should go walk a shelter dog instead. I should practice my form so I don't look like an idiot the next time I go. I got the last load of laundry in the washer, put some of the clothes away, put some clothes in the hand-me-downs pile, fixed a broken drawer. Still procrastinating on my work. :/ 2 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Graded Algebra Folded and put away one load of laundry Talked to a neighbor who came over. Gave another friend a phone number when they called. Now I have to get myself undistracted and back to work. 2 Quote
mom31257 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I ended up taking a nap because I woke up at 4 and had trouble going back to sleep. I'm about to get ready for the shower and will take care of some house stuff tonight. 1 Quote
JustEm Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I took a 2 hour nap while the kids played around me. I don't feel entirely refreshed, I think the nap was too long, but I'll be able to make it through the day now. The clothes are folded and away. Time to do dishes while the kids read to me. Then dinner, a trip to the park, and getting ready for bed. 2 Quote
BlsdMama Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) BlsdMama, I know I shouldn't be laughing... But I am dying here. :D It was serious business this morning... Evidence of poo and, alas, no poo. (Still haven't found it and I have a REMARKABLY clean house today, mostly because, well, you know....) But, in good spirits, I can share - We have a song. It's a lot like "Goin' on a bear hunt...." (Because if you don't laugh, you'll cry AND because, strangely, we have poop hunts more often than I'd like to admit.) Because my disgusting dogs would have found it and devoured even before I knew there was poop somewhere. 3 Quote

SKL Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I didn't get much work done today. Other than that, and the bad headache I got, it was a pretty good day. I have been tired all day, and now I want to go to bed like normal people, but I have to do my work somehow. Ugh. 3 Quote
