So far so good, mostly.

  • Slept all night!  Woke up late -7:25 and the kids' bus comes at 7:45!  [done]
  • Final tasks on kids' packing for school.  Homework, band stuff, gym stuff, volleyball stuff, free reading book, fun stuff.  [done]
  • Kids moved faster than usual on threat of having their ears pulled.  Got ready, fed, and out in record time.  [done]
  • Laundry - switched out 1 load and put stuff away.  Now just 1 unwashed load in the queue.  [done]
  • Cleaned up the kitchen, bathrooms, and some clutter.  [done]
  • A little bit of AHG and school volunteering stuff.  [done]
  • Work.
  • Finish the laundry.  [last load in..]
  • A little reading.
  • A little exercise.
  • Figure out continuing education stuff.
  • Pick up kids at school.
  • TKD?
  • Kids' work.
  • Read-aloud?
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work.

My fervent prayer: Dear God, please let today go remotely like yesterday when the children (or just one particular child) just simply cooperated, the mommy was both happy & functional,  the house looked like dirt because we actually got school done, and it felt sane pretty much all day.

Amen.

Yesterday I was the Michael Phelps of homeschooling.

I have zero idea why it went so smooth, but I went to bed very, very grateful.

Morning all. The kids and I dropped dh off at work this morning so we could go grocery shopping and check out Goodwills $1 kids clothes sale. Scored big time there for stuff for the upcoming baby and for my oldest!

Still to do...

- hang out with sil and her kids

-hang clothes on line

-pick dh up for lunch

- fold and put away clothes

- dinner in Crock-Pot

- kids read to me

- work on letter and number recognition with 3 year old

- clean my room

- oldest and dh clean bathrooms

-whatever else the day calls for

Sidetracked by the most vile of things.  Poop hunt.  Ugh.

This child.  I love this child.  However, I suspect he is faster than me, sneakier than me, and smarter than me.  And he adores his penis, hence the diaper coming off at every possible moment.  Heaven help me.

I am telling you.... I am considering duck tape.

We have found a suspicious baby, a suspicious diaper, and yet, despite our best cleaning efforts, no poop.  This is going to be an unpleasant surprise today.

Have a headache today.  Probably from detoxing after all the ibuprofen I took the last 3 days to keep from bleeding to death.

I would really like to go to TKD today, but I think it would only cause trouble.  Maybe we should go walk a shelter dog instead.  I should practice my form so I don't look like an idiot the next time I go.

I got the last load of laundry in the washer, put some of the clothes away, put some clothes in the hand-me-downs pile, fixed a broken drawer.

Still procrastinating on my work.  :/

I took a 2 hour nap while the kids played around me. I don't feel entirely refreshed, I think the nap was too long, but I'll be able to make it through the day now.

The clothes are folded and away. Time to do dishes while the kids read to me. Then dinner, a trip to the park, and getting ready for bed.

BlsdMama, I know I shouldn't be laughing...

But I am dying here.

:D  It was serious business this morning...  Evidence of poo and, alas, no poo.  (Still haven't found it and I have a REMARKABLY clean house today, mostly because, well, you know....)

But, in good spirits, I can share - We have a song.

It's a lot like "Goin' on a bear hunt...."

(Because if you don't laugh, you'll cry AND because, strangely, we have poop hunts more often than I'd like to admit.)

Do you have a dog? Because my disgusting dogs would have found it and devoured even before I knew there was poop somewhere.
