Jaybee
I often see you post that the tests run should include free t3, free t4, and reverse t3, right? So...after that is done, what do you do? I mean, if the doctor is not familiar enough with the issues to order all those tests to start with, then does he/she know what to do with the results? It is almost time for my checkup, so I thought I would look more into this. (I've been on meds for hypothyroidism for 16 years.) But when I have looked over the site Ellie always recommends, it is just confusing to me. Granted, I haven't spent tons of time on there, but I wonder how in the world I will understand all that myself.
wonderchica
If you already know, you are hypo and that your doctor isn't familiar enough with it, you should see an endocrinologist.

Jaybee
I have gone to endocrinologists in the past, but the ones I had gone to here locally were not impressive. (Left a great one in the last country where I lived.)
