Janeway Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I know this belongs on the Logic Stage board, but I posted there a few days ago and no one has answered. So I was hoping people who have BTDT could help. We are at the end of Singapore Math. We are part way through 6B. There are tons of reviews in the textbook. It seems as if the textbook is at least half review. We have skipped over reviews a lot in the last few books because son just seemed to really get things. Plus, we had done extra books like Keys to Fractions. Now we are in the last book of the series. We plan to do Jacob's Algebra next, which I already own. Do you think it would be a mistake to continue to skip over the reviews? We will still complete the workbook at 100%. I seem to recall some people saying they skipped the entire 6B level and went on to algebra. Has anyone had issues in algebra if they skipped the textbook reviews? Quote
Jen500 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 We didn't do all of the reviews in any of the Singapore books and did even fewer of them in 6A and 6B, with no problems. It really depends on the student, and I think as homeschoolers it's much easier to know whether or not our kids need more or less practice. Quote
