redsquirrel
Hi all, I apologize if this is old news, but this came across my social media recently and I wanted to share. Crash Course has put together a FREE curriculum for students studying for the AP World History test. When I look at it, it seems to assume that you also have access to one of the typical textbooks used in an AP world history class. I am not 100% certain this is a complete curriculum? At the very least it assumes there is a competent teacher who is lecturing on the topics in depth. So, it isn't scripted and it isn't written to the student. I think it is attempting to help the large number of teachers who are being asked to teach AP classes but aren't given any support or budget from their school system. Unfortunately, I know there are a lot of them. I have read many a post from a panicking teacher who has been told to teach an AP class and the principal or dept head tells them to get all their books etc 'off the internet'. It does seem to address the sorts of skills and questions that the world history AP test wants addressed. There are lots of worksheets looking for cross cultural comparison etc. So, anyway, hope this helps someone! http://thecrashcourse.com/curriculum.html
