Ariston Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Has anyone used the new Dave Ramsey Foundations Middle School Edition? My kids and I watched the sample video and thought his daughter did a great job presenting to this age. Its on HSBC for $70 which is a lot for us for a non-core subject, but if it inspires my kids to avoid debt (in particular my son who has very bad spending habits) it will be money well spent. Any experience with it? 1 Quote
HomeAgain Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 We did MUS's Stewardship. I've seen Dave's daughter doing videos and I'm.........not impressed. She seems to have a lack of skills that she is trying to pass off as expert, and as a parent I don't think I'd be inclined to spend the money on a project done by her. There's just a lack of authenticity or understanding - rather it's like she's parroting what she's been taught instead of having had the opportunity to really engage with the subjects. Quote
Ariston Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 I find her annoying when I hear her plugging her books for those reasons...it seems like she's just riding his coat tails rather than having anything new to say. But I did like her presenting in the video I saw. I'll look into MUS. I'm looking for something anti-debt. Are they? Quote
