mom31257 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Today, I had to use my big crockpot, which runs too hot in my opinion. I just checked on it, and the food is already done. The problem is that dh won't be home until 6:30ish. I know I shouldn't leave it on warm for 3 hours, right? I don't want it to burn or overcook, either. What should I do? Quote
Pawz4me Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 You mean the "keep warm" setting? If it runs hot then that setting may be more like low on most crock pots. So I wouldn't hesitate to leave it on that setting for three hours. 1 Quote

ElizabethB Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Keep warm for an hour, low for 30 min, keep warm an hour, low 30 min, repeat until ready to eat is what I do with a crock pot like that. Edited August 23, 2016 by ElizabethB 2 Quote
