Harder "Easy" Readers

I'm looking for easy readers with good pictures with 2-3 simple sentences on the page.  I'm using these to remediate comprehension and need slightly harder than the beginning bob books and the beginning I Can Read series, but books that still have lots of illustrations.  Thank you!

I find the DK readers to be a little more advanced that the I Can Read series. The DK readers also go up to more advanced levels. 

 

The Eyewitness books (sometimes co-labeled as DK4) are great for practicing fluency with older readers once the phonics remediation has come along a bit.

Primary phonics readers -

 

They come in six levels of increasing difficulty. They also have workbooks and maybe some other things available but I've never used any of that. I think the books are excellent.

Have you tried Usborne? Ted and Friends is a book with 5-6 stories in it. They have several others too that are single stories, Racoon on the Moon is one title.

Henry and Mudge? It's been a while, but I think that was about their level.
