My kids' private school allows jeans, but they prefer for them to NOT be skinny jeans or jeggings. I have spent all summer looking for jeans that fit this criteria but the only thing I can find are bootcut. My 9year old daughter (the budding fashionista) can't stand bootcut jeans, but I need her to wear them as we need some more school-clothes options! What kind of shoes do you think a kid should wear with bootcut jeans? I'm hoping that buying her a cute shoe to go with them will encourage her to want to wear them.

Thanks!

Boots?

Lol...yes, of course, but school started today and it's not quite boot weather for us yet. Dd has several cute t-shirts that she could wear with jeans. I'm just not sure what type of shoes to put with them. We will do boots in the winter though. (Shorts aren't allowed at her school).

Sparkly neon tennis shoes.

Ballet flats, preferably gold with glitter

Dansko-style clogs

Bright red converse tennis shoes

That's what I was thinking (sparkly, fun shoes) but sadly I have little fashion sense. Dd though...boy she can spend hours changing her Barbie's clothes to try to make new outfits. She just loves fashion. I want her to have a say in what she wears, but we do have to follow the school's dress code. Just wanted to get some thoughts on this.

Old Navy and Gap have "boyfriend" jeans that aren't skinny or boot cut. Target used to as well, but I haven't checked this season.

Otherwise, I agree with anything goes. Cute tennies, flats, Mary Janes, whatever is comfy! :)
