Cheapest blender that can handle spinach? Update#8

My husband as a personal sized Oster one, I think it's called my oster, but it doesn't handle greens well...you get lots of green bits that didn't get chopped up enough.

I want one that will help me get some more greens in, that won't break the bank in case I don't use it much beyond this pregnancy. (last pregnancy was a juicer....I don't think I've used it since then.) So not looking to get a vitamin, for instance.

Any ideas?

the nutritionist at our health club is always after us to put spinach in smoothies, and she recommends the NutriBullet.  I got one for about $55.  I haven't used it for spinach in smoothies yet, but I did make some very garlicky hummus in it, and it was pretty durn good...and I did finally discover the definition of "too much garlic."  Yikes.

Thank you! I thought they were a lot more expensive, but it seems that is for the fancier versions. The regular 8 piece can be bought, refurbished, for about $60 I am finding. That might be a good option. Veggies aren't my favorite this pregnancy, and my midwife is on me to get more plant foods in.

The 8 piece was what we got.  It is perfectly adequate for one or two people.  If I'm making hummus for a potluck, I'll dig out the food processor.  :0)  Good luck with the veggie acquisition.

I got this one for $79

And used a 20% off coupon.

Greens are totally pulverized into liquid. My supermarket sells big bags of juicing greens -- spinach and kale -- at a reasonable price.

I got rid of my old Oster, no longer need it.

I love my NutriBullet.  I have this one, but I never use the extra pieces.  At Christmas last year I noticed Macy's was selling the same NutriBullet without all the extra pieces for $20 less.  I don't know if that was just a Christmas special or not.

So, I got one! Couldn't find an in store coupon for BB&B, so I ordered from amazon. I have Prime Now available, so was able to get it this morning :)

They had the Pro version, with the stronger motor, refurbished for the price of a new, less powerful one, so I went with that. Just made a smoothie with spinach, carrots, berries, yogurt, almond milk, and some protein powder and not only do I like it, but the kids loved it and drank all theirs!!! Even the toddler!
