luuknam
https://newsela.com/ The only thing is that as a parent I can't get the answers to the quizzes (I checked homeschool educator, but I'm guessing quiz answers are only for paid school accounts?). But for each article they'll list the Lexile score, the word count, and the approximate grade level, and you can pick from multiple difficulties for each article (e.g. one of the articles had 2nd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade, 8th grade, and 12th grade as options). So you could have each of your kids read the 'same' article (obviously, at the lower reading levels there aren't going to be as many details, as they keep those articles shorter and simpler). Or, you could have a kid read an easier reading level first, to prepare the kid for reading an article that's a little above their reading level. ETA: you do have to register to use it, and after you register you might want to edit your account to tell them to not email you stuff. ETA2: it appears the lowest reading level is 2nd grade. bluebonnetgirl
Thank you for posting this. It seems that it only allows homeschoolers to have 1 class, and you have to choose the grade level for that class. How do you make that work if you have different children at different grade levels?
luuknam
Thank you for posting this. It seems that it only allows homeschoolers to have 1 class, and you have to choose the grade level for that class. How do you make that work if you have different children at different grade levels? You can browse the articles and print whatever article you want at whatever level. I've ignored the class and students stuff so far.

Kassia
My daughter also used Newsela when she was learning Spanish. She started at the easiest reading level and moved up from there as her Spanish reading improved.
