overdrive and OneClickDigital from the library.

I swear I am too stupid to figure this out.

I tried to download a book tonight and it showed that it had downloaded, but all the chapters were listed as "Chapter 1" and nothing would play.

It listed as downloaded completely but then when I went to play something it said, "Chapter 1 unavailable" for ALL of them.

What the heck?

Anyone use either of these apps with your local library?

I am listening to Lost in Shangri-La on OVerdrive I checked out from my library but I've never seen that problem :(

Click on the three lines in the top left of Overdrive. Click Files.  What does it say under the title beside the word "Downloaded"?  (Though here they say "Part 1" etc. NOT Chapter.)

I have only checked things out on OneClick so far.  I don't even know how to check out on Overdrive yet.

I am trying again.  And I am downloading another book to see if I can get that one to work.

While I am at it:  Please recommend books!  I will soon have about an hour a day of driving and would like some titles of good books.

That is, IF I can get it to work.

Did you get OneClick to work? I've checked out dozens of books with the app and I don't remember having a problem.

Sounds like it was a problem on their end or maybe just that book.

You could try shutting down the app and maybe even restarting your phone.

I think it is just that book.  The other book worked.

Overdrive seems to work better.

I started listening to audiobooks when I had an hour of driving each way for work.

Recently reading _Hamilton:The Revolution_ (the audiobook) and really enjoyed it. It is about the making of hte Hamilton musical.

Lost in Shangri-La was also good. (people in World WAr II crash in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, among people who previously essentially did not have contact with the rest of the world and the struggle to figure out how to get them out.

What kind of books do you enjoy?

I highly recommend adding Anne Bogel's podcast, "What Should I Read Next" to your listening time. I've listened to every episode and have found many new books through it.
