chemistry textbook, need suggestions

I need a textbook that we can use as a reference. I want one I can get a used copy for really cheap.  We are using the chemistry 101 dvds as our spine and also living books (from guest hollow high school chemistry list) and we have an experiment kit.  The boys who will be doing the program both have dyslexia and I want something that is workable for them.   

 

Last year, the older one struggled with the biology text until we switched to Miller and Levine on the recommendation of someone here.  That book was doable for him.  I was hoping they had a chemistry book, but they don't.  

 

This is a basic, high school level chemistry class.  Im not looking for advanced.  Just a nice, attractive textbook to have on hand for extra reading on topics and looking things up.   Not Apologia.  A public school book is fine.

Take a look at Holt Chemistry
or Conceptual Chemistry (http://conceptualchemistry.com/media/k2/attachments/CC5eFM.pdf)

Both can be easily found at used bookstores here. You don't need the latest edition.

For ease of understanding I like Zumdahl's World of Chemistry. There are a lot of PS teachers who use it so plenty of additional resources available too.

Have you looked at ck 12(free)  We are using the Bio one this year.
