I do not know how August got so busy on me. I don't even like the month! Why would I want to do everything in August? :cursing:

Oh, well.

Today's schedule:

Try to get Monday's housekeeping done along with Sunday's--good luck on that!

No cooking-no time for it

Writing-I'll make time for it.

Get all the chores done early

Driving to go see a play later today

Work tomorrow.

Today's schedule - try to enjoy the rooms I've gotten clean before DD and DH come home this afternoon and destroy them.  Finish the laundry, and if I'm feeling really ambitious, wash the dog.

My 3 year old niece spent the night Friday night (her first sleepover! She did great.) so I had to clean up after the tiny tornado, plus distract/play with her while she was awake. It was good, though. I haven't gotten to see her in awhile. She had a "creative" haircut - shoulder length on one side and above the ear on the other - apparently she tried to give herself bangs after watching my SIL cut her own and my SIL couldn't bear to cut all her curls off.

It's been a really quiet weekend with DH out of town with his friends (they went to a concert and decided to stay an extra and hang out) and DD has been at her Grandma's for a week. It was nice, though the dog has been rather clingy.

My mom bought some chicks to put under the hen that's been trying to hatch the golf balls in the coop for a couple of weeks. The hen is now very happy her "eggs" have hatched, but does not like it if you get too close to her babies.

Fairly productive day. I did get through the housekeeping and the chores in the four hours, and managed to write around 1500 words between loads of laundry. Then we went and saw the play (half-day what with driving and such) and made it back home without hitting a deer. So a good day.

Today I bleached my stinky washing machine, did all the laundry in the universe, roasted another big batch of cherry tomatoes and rendered a few lbs of slicing tomatoes down to sauce, and generally made a disaster of my kitchen. I'm leaving it for DH to clean tomorrow. Now I SHOULD be putting in an hour or so on the next deadline book but I'm here on the forum instead. :P

So I left off with lessons and our a.m. routine this weekend and now I feel totally scatterbrained and unsure what to do with myself in the morning to begin a new week of school, especially since my idea of a perfect school day was tossed out the window 10 mins into Day 1 last week, and since I'm still second-guessing whether I want to do beginning phonics.

Anyway, tomorrow is occupational therapy day. I also really want to try to find some sort of exercise routine again before I regain the 50 lbs I've lost this year, so my goals are 1) morning routine, 2) introduce new B4FIAR book, 3) therapy, 4) YMCA in the evening.

I have been through a hard thing this week - telling my friends here that we are moving back to the USA.

It was a quiet, recovery weekend for us and I spent much of it in planner-nerd-mode :) I am nearly finished making custom paper planners for both DS and myself. Today, I will work on setting up OneNote and I have a volunteer shift late afternoon.

Also had a nice long talk with DS22 yesterday :) Am trying to help him plan/brainstorm about his next step - he will get his undergrad degree in May.

He's a really neat character, our chimney sweep. He comes in tailcoat and top hat, and most of my cats adore him for some reason. It's just very, very noisy.

Critter, I love your new sig..

I'm going to have to get all the new curriculum stuff in soon. Been putting it off.

I do not know how much school is going to get done today. Hopefully something. We will see. I think I will start with Latin and Math and see how we feel after that. I had a rough night, and a nap would sure be nice later this afternoon...

ETA: We decided to do math and Latin and then write for the rest of the day. I have to do some cooking. I think we may make some chocolate chip cookies and call that cooking class.

Critter- I think math and Latin is enough for today. I hope you're able to get a nap in this afternoon, as a matter of fact, I think I'll be joining you.

Today we got math, Latin and music practice done. I had to make a run to the grocery store for some bread and a few other things. I'm really wanting to just relax this afternoon, dinner will be leftovers.

Good morning. I still don't feel quite up to my usual tricks this morning.

Today's schedule (tentative)

French-still none, don't have that CD yet

Latin-Lesson 26 continued

Math-Light Unit test, 1 page KTD

Language Arts-pick new spelling words from Macbeth, KISS grammar lesson, Grammar of Poetry lesson

History-something

Science-something

Literature-Macbeth

Art-something

How's that for nebulous? I'm going to try to get through the morning stuff and see how I feel after that.

For me: Some cleaning to do, Latin to catch up on, I ought to do geometry, I need to write about 3000 words today, but I'm not cooking.

Today is one of my boys' birthday so he gets to choose his birthday meal, I hope he wants fried rice cause I don't wanna cook either, lol. We've gotten math and read aloud done, waiting for bathroom break to be over before starting Latin. Need to do some housekeeping so there's not so much for me to do this weekend and i can relax and watch movies the whole weekend. Did I mention that one boy made 100 on his math quiz yesterday? He's my math struggler so this was a huge win for us!

Up early today because the boys and I are going out to a creek to swim and play with the waterfalls. After that we'll catch up what is left on the week.

Today's schedule:

Waterfalling, swimming, paddling

Latin-lesson 26 continued, page of workbook

History/Science-swap from yesterday

Lit/Art-swap from yesterday

For me-watch the waterfall, drag out this latest chapter I'm rewriting and try to figure out what this very, very, very unusual character is doing in there. She showed up almost as a cameo early in this rewrite, and I was point blank shocked when she encountered the protagonist and started to talk! This character disappeared from the story years ago! What's she doing back? No clue---going to try to find out...

Last night I FINALLY found the history, science and lit books that have been missing since we went to Houston. (They were in the cooler, LOL. There was nothing wet in the cooler, so the books were safe). DD literally kissed each one of them when she found them, because she was really enjoying The Road to Oz and that volume of Picturesque Tales of Progress.

DD went riding with the neighbors, something she hasn't had a chance to do in months.

I am not having a good day! I fell asleep last night and forgot to watch the meteor shower, I'm not happy about that. Everything I need to do keeps running through my head and it's a lot. I swear I'm going to shave my cats bald because I'm so tired of dealing with cat hair all over the place. I need to run my Ds something to his job, someone tried to use my CC, as you can see I'm all over the place, lol. Ladies, please help me salvage this day. I still really need to keep working with my guys.

:grouphug: There, there. One thing at a time and it will all get done, and if it doesn't, then oh, well.

I worked today. I got too hot yesterday and felt bad for the rest of the day, but I feel better tonight. Hopefully we should get through the last of our summer work in the next two to three weeks, and then I've got fall stuff to plan.

Critter- thanks and hugs to you too, I'm glad you're feeling better.

Well, after a good cry, I tucked my tail in and put my pitch fork away, lol and we were able to get a few things done. We got Latin, music, literature reading done. Was able to go over Ds' lines for a skit we're doing for church and all with a pretty decent attitude, the boys vacuumed and dusted, I went and got groceries, got dinner in the crockpot and we've been relaxing. I even got a nap in!!
