I have two dear friends that have some serious issues in their lives right now.

I have posted asking for prayer for one friend, who was recently diagnosed with her third separate cancer in less than 2 years. She had a mastectomy a month ago, was told there was only a 7% chance she had cancer in the nodes, and a week later had to have surgery again because it WAS in the nodes, and turned out to be stage 3 breast cancer. A week after that surgery her mother died, and 20 days later she lost her father. She isn't healing as well as she should, probably due to the extreme stress. She is expecting her first grandbaby any day, and she has to start chemo and radiation within the month. She truly is the sweetest lady I know, and I would just love to see her lifted up in prayer from everywhere!

Another close friend has had some health issues over the last year or two. Her son has Fragile X syndrome and she is a carrier. What started as general health issues she's been trying to find answers for, has turned into a possible neurologically degenerative disease specific to her being a Fragile X carrier. If this is indeed what she is dealing with, and she's talking to Fragile X experts in another state, she is already seeing progression. She is 48 years old. Her son is 25 and almost died last year from a seizure. She has a 22yo daughter who will likely be her and her son's caretaker, although she said if her progression was rapid, she was going into a nursing home. (She does have a supportive husband as well, but he works and it isn't likely he could stop working.)

My heart just hurts for both of these ladies. Will all the praying people here PLEASE pray for them.

Specific prayer for the first would be that she would do well during chemo and radiation, and that she would finally be rid of cancer, and be able to enjoy her family and new grandbaby!

Specific prayer for the second one would be that they find she does NOT have the Fragile X issue and that it is something treatable. Some uplifting prayer for her sweet daughter would be great too, as this girl takes on SO much to help her family, and never has a single complaint.

If you have read this, thank you so much. My heart is just really heavy this morning.

Thank you all. Spent Saturday with the first dear friend as we celebrated her new grandbaby's impending arrival with a "food shower" for her daughter-in-law (who happens to have been one of my home school cheerleaders some years back). This lady is always putting other people first - always.
