lisabees Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Anyone do this? DD13 is doing European History with History at our House, but I need to supplement. Athena's has a history course using Doctor Who. I'd like to do something like this once a week as a fun addition. Ideas? Quote
rutheart Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Maybe read a biography of someone (i.e. Churchill, Shakespeare, etc), then watch the Dr Who episode(s) with that person in it? This list would help with that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_historical_characters I did see this free TPT that is associated with the class: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Sample-Lesson-Traveling-Through-History-with-Doctor-Who-1394730 Ruth 2 Quote
lisabees Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Ruth - that list is awesome. Thanks! I did see that TPT plan. It actually looks like a good plan to tweak and follow - easy enough to fit into a day's worth of history work. Edited August 2, 2016 by lisabees 1 Quote

Dmmetler Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 DD is taking the Doctor Who class at Athena's as an extra-she loves the instructor, loves Doctor Who, and wanted to do it "for fun". 2 Quote
