momee
I'd like to find or make a schedule sheet that has a section for loop items and a section for daily items, including chores. Has anyone found a similar sheet already made? Mostly I'd like to use a checklist format, not a table. I don't want to enter specifics pages and what not, just subject matter. Kind of like the old AO forms used to be...where you see Shakespeare and such in a chart, then daily activities above it. Am I making sense? Daily: Bible Math Literature CC review Loop: LA: spelling, grammar, composition FA: cd lesson, shakespeare, nature study, art study, character
mamiof5
It seems like you have this nicely grouped. How about making your own schedule, listing on it the time alloted for LA and FA, and have a checklist somewhere listing the options? That's all I can think of 😊
Tiramisu
What you need to do to make this simple is add another FA. The you will have six neat rotations of a week each for FA. Within those six week rotations you will go twice through each week long LA rotation. But I don't know if you really want to spend a week at a time on spelling. I always plan in terms of weeks. And that's the pattern I saw first. For that extra FA, how about a week of cooking?
momee
Great ideas! I am challenged by where to go from here. Do I just open the books and do the next thing or make a notebook with tabs for each subject and follow the next topic that I've planned out. I'm still figuring out how to implement the loop. How do I make a system so I don't forget where I am, what to do? I think I'm going to read and listen to some info on the loop scheduling because while I can make a list of what I want to do I still don't understand how to implement it. It's been a while since I've had to make my own schedule. If it helps I am a true box checker who used an all in one curricula source with a lesson plan  loops are new to me... Guest
You might check out Plan Your Year by Pam Barnhill on edsnapshots.com. She has downloadable forms that include the loop schedule and also a procedures process and other things you might find helpful. Having the forms made for me has made my life so much easier. I'm a big fan of her program. I've instituted block and loop schedules since reading Plan Your Year.
freelylearned
You could make a checklist for your dailies. And then for your LA and FA you could also have a checklist, but leave blank lines underneath to fill in what was actually done. Something like: [ ] bible [ ] math [ ] lit [ ] CC [ ] fine arts _____________ _____________ [ ] language arts _____________ _____________
