I love the Bourne movies! My sister was convinced she would hate them, but I got her to watch the first and we ended up doing a marathon weekend with all 3 (I don't count the one with Jeremy Renner as one of them.)

Now we are psyched to go see the new one this weekend. I love when a good movie comes out!

We own the first three, and we already have the new one in our Netflix DVD queue. My husband can't wait.

I am!

but I'm not sure I want to see it on the big screen. They've been getting more violent. Or I'm getting more wimpy?

I don't know. On one hand Matt Damon on the big screen! Otoh, much violence on the big screen! I can't decide whether to wait it out or not.

I'm excited about the new Jack Reacher too but have same issue...

We are!

We have managed to hit the theater every Tuesday this summer so far except one when we were busy.  It's only $5 all day to see a movie on Tuesday, and this has been the summer of movies for us.  We're going to see Secret Life of Pets tonight, and next Tuesday will be Bourne.

I also get overwhelmed by so much violence in the big screen and will probably wait for it to come out on DVD.

One thing, though, I am old, and read Ludlum's original Bourne novels back in the 1980's. I did not care for the way the movies changed the storyline. I have to tell myself that it's not really the same story...

I can't wait!  My husband and sons will be out of town for a week so my brother and I are going to see it together.

I, too, liked the books, but the spy craft was so dependent on payphones. I don't think my kids could read them and find nearly as much enjoyment.

I have a brief window of time Friday when I am hoping to see it, otherwise I'll have to wait until the library gets a copy (which takes forever, whine, whine, whine)

Me, too. I do this with the Jack Reacher movies as well since Tom Cruise looks nothing like the description in the book.
