Vida Winter Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Many of our favorite clothing stores feature styles better suited to little girls. Is there a good place to buy for those "in-between" years? 1 Quote
MEmama Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Athleta just came out with Athleta Girls. That would be my go to if I had girls to buy for. :) Quote
jjeepa Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) We've found good tween options at Nordstrom Rack, Gap, Old Navy, and Boden's Johnnie B line. Boden has sample sales in our area once or twice a year and those are helpful. Athleta Girls has some cute stuff! Edited July 26, 2016 by jjeepa 1 Quote
Dmmetler Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 http://www.deliasclothing.com/ We have a local store, and Delias seems to have cute stuff. The online outlet store is good once you know what size to order. 1 Quote
MeghansMom Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Justice's prices are ridiculous, do you all know of some special sales? Children's Place. My daughter will be 13 this October and wears a size 12. I love their jean shorts, they do just above the knees. They have lots of choices of tees and their pjs are nice too. Now I will admit Meg has been asking for Old Navy because some of the stuff at CP is a little young, but quite often CP is fifty percent off with free shipping and handling and with her growth spurts lately it is more affordable. Suzanne in ABQ Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Old Navy Discount stores, like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's 2 Quote
almondbutterandjelly Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Justice has 40% off coupons a lot. Sign up on their website. We also liked buying clothes from Academy at the tween age. (Actually, we still like buying clothes from Academy.) Shorts, t-shirts, and tank tops. Track pants. 1 Quote
Princess Ariel Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 When my dd was that age I found jeans and shorts that fit her at GAP. Never really shopped there before that or since then. They had good sales online and some kind of punch card for in store purchases. But that was a while ago. Also sometimes JCPenney had girls clothes in larger sizes in the store and Kohl's sells larger sizes online but not in store. They seemed to get her through that time period. Quote
slackermom Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 We have had to head on over to the ladies' departments, looking for extra-small petite size clothes, starting at age 11. Things aimed at tweens just didn't have room for the growing bust and hip areas. Quote
Just Kate Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Justice's prices are ridiculous, do you all know of some spwhecial sales? Children's Place. Now I will admit Meg has been asking for Old Navy because some of the stuff at CP is a little young, but quite often CP is fifty percent off with free shipping and handling and with her growth spurts lately it is more affordable. Locally (maybe nationally?) Justice got rid of their regular 40% off coupons. Now they have regular sales...sometimes on particular types of clothing and sometimes on the whole store. For instance, dd and I stopped in and notice that all of their pajamas were 40% off, so I bought her nightgown that she had been wanting. That evening, when checking my email, I noticed that the entire store was going to be 30% off the following day. So dd and I trudged back to the mall to buy a few things that were too expensive the day before. Definitely sign up for their emails! 1 Quote
mamiof5 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 We don't go to Justice. Absurd prices, even after a coupon. And we rarely find something there that we actually like. Kohl's, Ross has been good for us. And Goodwill :) 2 Quote
umsami Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 We buy most of our clothes at Target and Old Navy. 1 Quote
littlebug42 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Old Navy, Aeropostale and Kohls. We also do a lot of thrift store shopping. Quote
TravelingChris Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 we did Lands End, JC Penney, Bealls, DIllards, Belk Quote
edelweiss Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 We did Justice, Abercrombie Kids, Aeropostale Kids, Crewcuts, and Nordstrom. Justice was our go to for the earlier ages. Then Abercrombie Kids was where we went for 80% of her clothing after that. Quote
helena Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Johnny B (Boden) Brass Plum (Nordstroms) Abercrombie Kids We love clothes shopping at garage sales and thrift stores, but this age was super hard (for us) to find their sizes. Quote
