Instant pot question on setting timer

I am cooking sloppy joes manually. I found a recipe that said 8 min. I have set it so that it says 08:00. Have I set it to 8 minutes or 8 hours? (Sorry. Kids were trying to find something in the user's manual first time I used it and I can't find the owner's manual. )

To set manually (which is almost always what I do), just hit manual, and use the + or - button to get where you want. For 8 minutes, you would use - to get from the 30 that automatically comes up to the 8 then just stop pressing and let it go. You don't need to touch anything else after that; it'll start doing its thing within 30 seconds or so.
