ProudGrandma
Did you have them take a class? Read a book? Did you buy the books with the practice tests in them? If so, can you please give me specifics as to what you did or bought? thanks.
PuddleJumper1
Dd used ACT prep books (Kaplan and Barron's) from the library and Khan Academy. She really only needed to prep for the Math section. I believe she also found some older ACT tests online that she did. Julie of KY
Real ACT We worked through practice tests. Talked through missed problems. Taught specifics that needed to be learned. Practiced more. I had my kids take the test with as much time as they needed and just record how long it took. I wanted to see how they could do with unlimited time first. Then we worked on how to manage time constraints last. Generally, the time improved with more practice.

Lucy the Valiant
The Real ACT book is now out-dated with regards to the essay; the new one published by the ACT people themselves is called The Official ACT Prep Guide, 2016-2017.
