ktgrok
So, the good news is baby seems to be doing well. Heartbeat of 142. Measuring right for dates. The bad news is there is a "pocket of fluid" in my uterus. The tech didn't want to talk about it much, but said it was small and didn't seem to be effecting the pregnancy. Of course, google explained to me that it was probably blood, not "fluid". So, it seems I might have a subchorionic hemorrhage? It was about 1cm by 1.4 cm from what i could see on the screen. Not right near the gestational sac, in fact she didn't see it until a little ways into doing all the pictures. So, say a prayer it's nothing if you are into praying, or send some no bleeding vibes. I've had zero issues, and google seems to say that if it is asymptomatic and small it isn't that big a deal. Hoping that is the case. Not sure yet if my midwife will send me for a follow up later or what. She should have the report in a day or two.

purpleowl
I had something that sounds like the same thing when I was pregnant with DS. Everything was fine. I seem to recall having some spotting. I'm guessing things will be fine for you, too. :)

indigomama
I had an SCH with my last 4 pregnancies. It caused some bleeding with each pregnancy, that resolved by 12 weeks. It was nerve-wracking, especially because the first time it happened was following a miscarriage. But, there were never any complications from the SCH. Best wishes! Guest
I've had a subchorionic hematoma in three pregnancies. They're annoying and the spotting can be nerve wracking but it's not a huge deal. Mine this time around was fairly minor but nobody likes seeing blood during a pregnancy. I'm happy everything else looks good for you! BooksandBoys
My good friend had a very large subchorionic hemorrhage with this, her first pregnancy. She had some scary bleeding a few times, but through it all, baby has been healthy and growing fine. He's due in about three weeks.
ktgrok
Thanks. I don't even know if it is a subchorionic hemorrhage, but I can' think of what else it would be?
