sheryl Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Good Morning! From Thursday - LucyS...yes, I agree. I've had sad crises (Mom passed away years ago, Dad recently) which have emotionally challenged me. I turned to food. I'm working on NOT living to eat but "eating to live".....making better choices (most of the time). Pawz, yes, that's me too. I'm liking sweets less and less. Now I still do like them but less. FRIDAY Would you all like to post in the evening? That way we can recap everything (nearly) we've eaten? Or, does it matter? I don't have anything to post yet and won't be able to until evening b/c of my schedule. Haven't eaten breakfast yet, but probably - Breakfast - egg, chicken sausage sandwich (1 slice toast), coffee Quote
Faithr Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I would love to join in here but I feel my life is so disrupted right now that I probably won't be able to really focus on changing bad patterns. But maybe I can ease into things! This a.m. had 1 glass of water (need more) 2 cups of coffee with 2% milk (3/4's caff w. 1/4 decaf - trying to limit caffeine intake) two slices of Ezekiel cinnamon raisin with a little Kerrygold butter Later today I'm going shopping for some good walking shoes so I will be more inclined to walk. sheryl Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Sure FaithR, tag along. It's about where "you" are. No comparisons needed. Just have a plan and either eliminate 1 thing and/or add 1 thing at a time. Some people can go cold turkey and make several adjustments but I believe I've heard it said to take baby steps for lasting results. About 7-8 years ago I knew I wasn't drinking enough water so I sloooooowly increased it what I thought was enough. Then I heard that one is to drink half their body weightr in ounces. So, I started doing that and realized I made a math mistake and still wasn't drinking enough. I have the right info now and drink all.day.long lol! I stock more in the morning and taper off to less and less as the day wears on. Quote
