Ewe Mama Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I just came home from taking one of the kids for an appointment, and decided to start a load of laundry. My cycle selection dial doesn't work. It doesn't "catch and grip" when trying to turn it to the proper cyclle selection. It just spins freely. Please help. I have about five loads of laundry waiting and I'm not even behind. We have only been using it since November, but I have had it since the previous January, waiting for my other machine to give out. Jack the Ball Python, are you in there?!? Quote

regentrude Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Can it be that just the knob on the dial is lose? Can you take it off and use pliers to turn the metal pin on which it sits? Quote
KungFuPanda Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 (edited) It should still be under warranty. I'd call and make them fix the knob. Will the knob slide off so you can look at it. The catch that turns it may have broken and you might be able to turn it with pliers. Lemme go peek set mine . . . Ok, I was hoping it would be like oven knobs and you could just swap with one on the left, but this knob is more complicated. I'd call the store where you bought it. It has to be a quick fix. You could also try searching on youtube for how to replace it. That might explains how it works and if you can slide it off without breaking anything. Edited July 14, 2016 by KungFuPanda Quote
itsheresomewhere Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Try pushing hard on the knob while turning. Quote
