Laurie4b Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I want to ask my vet for a prescription. Where is the best place (ie cheapest) to get it filled? Quote
zoobie Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Check Costco (call) and Drs Foster and Smith (online). It's going to depend on your area. 1 Quote
MercyA Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Drs. Foster and Smith. I've ordered from them many times with no problems. The generic Tri-Heart Plus is particularly inexpensive. Quote

Regular pharmacy items do not require a membership (I think this is federal law-related?). I don't know about pet meds, but they will know if you call. :) Quote
StephanieZ Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Actually, many times your vet is cheapest. Check. Also, be aware that many re-sellers sell illegally imported drugs, mislabeled, misbranded, fake drugs, etc. I'd personally predict that you're unlikely to get fake drugs from a BIG retailer, but the random ones online are highly likely to not be providing what you think you are buying. I've seen the illegal drugs; I've seen the fake drugs. Some of them look really good. Others are obvious (to someone who sees the real drugs day in and day out.) http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm048164.htm Quote
