Did you buy anything on Amazon Prime Day?

I kept hoping what I wanted was going to be on the prime sale and it didn't ever go on.

I did buy ONE thing, a travel towel set (microfiber thing) for my son for camping with scouts.  And I think I saved a whole $5 off the reg. price.

Otherwise, NOPE.

I bought a $50 gift card for the $10 promo credit.   As soon as the gift card arrived, I applied it to my account. We buy enough from Amazon that that purchase was simply a rearrangement of funds, not real spending.

I spent a long time looking over the books but there was nothing of interest to me.

2 fires for Eid presents for the twins. I was just waiting for them to drop to $35 or less.

2 sd cards for those fires (saved $3@)

A 128gb flash drive for me to back up all my school files

Several games that were on my want list for next school year and I found on warehouse deals with an extra 15% off (Blokus, Guess Who, Spirograph)

Dry Erase markers

Shopkins

Book Rack by Tot tutors for the new classroom

Spy Gear night vision goggles from DS12s wish list for next Eid (in ~ 2 1/2 months so I'm shopping ahead)

Velcro dots for making games (saved $3)

I tried to order the slide set but it glitched out and wouldn't let me add it to the cart :(

I had most things do the no-rush shipping, so I'll have a few dollars waiting to get some kindle books for next school year on my wish list ;)

ETA: Not on prime sale, but I used my $10 credit for joining Audible for a cooler tote for running errands on hot days and an 8c rice cooker.

Updated because I knew I forgot a few things

We got the Educational Snap Circuits, 887 pc of Legos, a watch band for DH's i-watch, and DH ordered a book that wasn't on sale. The snap circuits we will give to ODS for his birthday in September. The Lego's we may wait till Christmas to give. We were on the wait list for some lincoln logs but never got them. My mom wanted to get a train set but her power went out right when it was coming up and so she couldn't order it at the lightening price. :( She decided to just order it anyway as she wanted to get something for my YDS for his birthday on Monday.

We are going to be with my mother for Cyber Monday (pre-planned trip) so this was really our only chance to do this. We might be able to look at things when we are down in Florida with her at that time, but I doubt we will purchase.

I bought two things that were planned purchases, so bonus that they were on sale:  Instant Pot and Amazon Tap.

Also picked up the Miss Peregrine's boxed set of books, a Rick Riordan book, and a guide to electronics for inventors.  Those are for DS.

DH was really hoping for some home automation stuff to go on sale - I don't know what he wanted exactly - maybe he's thinking of a Nest?  And I know he wants a Ring (I think it's called a Ring?  The doorbell security camera thing that connects to an iPhone?)  The only thing that came up in home automation was a Raspberry Pi - as in "build your own."

I'm glad more didn't come up for us really, because that was enough to spend.  :)

Nope. We tried to buy our son a laptop. We've been looking around for a couple of months for a good deal, and my husband assumed yesterday would be the day to take care of it. However, by the time we managed to get a response from our son (who was out and about on the town yesterday) about whether the one my husband had his eye on would be acceptable, that deal was sold out. The two of us spent another hour or two scouring the options thinking there might be something else worth looking at, without any success.

Edit: Wait, I just realized that the title of this thread asks whether I bought anything "on Amazon Prime Day," not whether I bought anything from Amazon. Interpreted that way, yes, I did take advantage of an Amazon Prime-inspired sale code to buy a t-shirt and notebook from Zazzle. Both have designs created by an author (Gail Carriger) based on her books.

DD is into those coloring books, so I got her a colored pencil roll - maybe this will keep the ziplock bag from being dumped on the floor every day.

A memory card for the camera

A Lane Bryant GC on sale

And a really cool -looking remote control/robotics kit.Saving that one for Christmas.

Better than last year when I just bought the game "suspend", but nothing at all like Black Friday.

I bought myself a purse for my bday. I've been looking for one for awhile and one I had my eye on previously was a lightening deal at 30% off. I also got a dump truck and boat for my nephew for Christmas. Oh and Melissa and Doug 60 piece block set for $34 that will be a Christmasgift for my youngest. We already have one set but all 4 kids use them daily so the more the better.

It's a good thing I didn't notice the amiibo lol

Ha!  While I was playing around online yesterday I kept hearing about all these deals people were finding... Only my daughter knew to go right to the Amiibo.  She reminded me that last year I bought several at half off on Prime day.  Next year I'll remember and plan to catch up on a few of them.

No, I didn't buy anything. I keep hearing about this instant pot thing, but I don't really know what it is....and a big part of me doesn't want to know, lol!

*shakes fist*   That was one that I wanted--I missed it by this much! Lol.

It went on sale at 6:10, right? I was there at 6:10, and it was at 100%, so I got on the wait list. I wasn't even sure how the wait list worked - I went back and forth between reading a bit of the forums and Amazon, and then at some point it said I had like a minute to put it in my cart. So, I got really close to missing it too, but didn't.
