Debate Mom Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I am looking for a typing program for my 3rd and 5th graders. I would like a cd/dvd that I can install so that we don't need to visit a website. Any suggestions? Thanks! Quote
MinivanMom Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 We use Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. It's very cheap and you just install it on your computer. Quote
Amateur Actress Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I second Mavis Beacon. My kids liked it. You can set up separate accounts for each child. Quote
Tracy Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 We also used Typing Instructor for Kids. It is fun and engaging. And cheap. Gotta like cheap. :seeya: Quote
Jess4879 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 We have Typing Instructor for Kids Platinum. We've used it for two years now and I am ditching it for Mavis Beacon. I want the kids to have fun and enjoy it, but I'm seriously over all the edutainment stuff. Maybe it's just me and I'm in a mood, but I am sick of having to extend every lesson by 10 minutes so my kids can go to the "store" and spend their points. *sigh* Quote
Susie in MS Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 We like Typing Instructor for Kids Platinum. Quote
shadah Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Do you use the kids version or the adult version Mavis Beacon? Quote
